4. There will be two classes of membership, namely:
- Ordinary members, and
- Associate members.
5. Subject to the provisions of this Constitution the
following organisations and persons shall be eligible for Ordinary and Associate
membership:
- Individuals or organisations who have an affinity with the objects of this Society;
- Individuals or organisations who would like to support practically and/or financially
the objects of this Society.
6. An Associate shall have all the privileges of an
Ordinary member but may not:
- Vote in relation to motions proposing amendments to this Constitution; nor
- Be nominated or elected as a member of the committee.
7. Applicants for membership and renewal of membership
shall apply in writing, or on the prescribed form, to the Secretary and shall stipulate
whether the application is for Ordinary or Associate membership.
8. The committee shall have the power to accept or
reject applications for Ordinary membership or Associate membership.
9. Any applicant whose application has been rejected or
any member whose resignation has been requested or who has been suspended or expelled
shall
- Be entitled upon the written request of such applicant or member to receive reasons in
writing for the decision of the committee; and
- Have a right of appeal to the Society in General Meeting.
